Emily Mak joined SRY in October 2017. Emily’s role is diverse, ranging from liaising with community stakeholders and government agencies, to advising the company on strategic decisions, policy initiatives, and day-to-day activities. Emily’s background includes experience as a private practice litigator with a Canadian national law firm and as in-house counsel with a Lower Mainland local government. Emily studied urban geography at the University of British Columbia and University of Hong Kong, and is a graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. She is a Rail Safety Ambassador and a longstanding member of the Board of Directors of the British Columbia Expropriation Association.
